Polanco had a great day at the plate. He lofted a three-run bomb (his 4th of the season) in the 2nd inning, doubled plating a run in the 4th inning, delivered a single in the 5th inning and lined a one-base hit bringing in a run in the 7th inning. Overall Caracas out-hit Burbank 16 to 11. Johan Santana(5-0) got the win allowing 2 runs in 6 innings. Steve Reed got the save, his 1st. Jason Johnson(1-5) took the loss. He allowed Caracas 6 runs in 2 and 2/3 innings of work. Polanco was in a good mood after the game, 'I'm just seeing and hitting the ball real well now. I made some adjustments last week and they are paying off. That's what this game is about. making adjustments as the season goes along.'
